Of the three falls along the Deschutes River south of Bend (Lava Island, Dillon, Benham), Dillon Falls is easily the best one. The river drops 10 ft. here as it rushes down a somewhat narrow channel. However, once again, we have the problem that there is no good viewpoint of the falls. I scrambled out on a rock as far as I possibly could, and I could only see part of the falls (see photo). There is no way to get a view of the entire breadth of the waterfall on the west side of the river, and there is no accessibility on the east side.
