Directions:From Hwy 29 about 1 mile north of St. Helena (18 miles north of Napa), turn right (east) on Deer Park Rd. Drive 4.8 miles to White Cottage Rd. Turn left and drive 1.7 miles to Liparita Ave. Turn left and drive 0.3 miles to a small parking area on the left.

Devils Punchbowl Falls is a very scenic little 14 ft. high waterfall dropping into a gorgeous little gorge and pool. It is popular in the summer as a swimming hole. But it is best seen in the winter after lots of rain.
The unmarked trail is found off Liparita Ave. in Angwin. There is very limited parking here. The trail drops down along an old road for about a half mile following another small creek. You may notice a couple cascades along this small creek if it is flowing. After about a half mile you will reach a 3 way junction. If you continue straight ahead, the trail leads very steeply down to the waterfall on Bell Canyon Creek. Once at the top of the falls, you need to get across the creek, and follow a trail up and back around to the bottom of the falls. It could be very slippery and tricky to cross the creek at the top of the falls.
The land in this area is privately owned, I think either by the Seventh Day Adventist college in Angwin, or the nearby winery. But access is permitted to the waterfall and it is not posted. Please be sure to respect the property, not litter or otherwise ruin the area, and thus ensure that access is not ever revoked in the future.
