Beacroft Falls can be accessed from the Mumford Bar Trail, or the much steeper Beacroft Trail (2.5 miles one way, 2500 ft. elevation loss). Either of these hikes could be done in a day, though it might be more pleasant to camp down by the river. There are plenty of camp sites at Mumford Bar and Beacroft. Beacroft Falls is a small falls, but it rages through a narrow chute along the North Fork of the American River.
