Directions:Along Hwy #706, 0.6 miles southeast of Box Canyon (or 9.6 miles west of Stevens Canyon entrance). Park at the pullout immediately on the northwest side of Nickel Creek bridge.

Well, apparently there is a short primitive trail on this side of the bridge, that will provide you with good views of Cougar Falls, according to our book. We could not find it. We walked down a couple primitive trails, but could not seem to get close enough to see the waterfall, due to the steep cliffs. Good luck!
