Hamilton Falls is somewhat disappointing because there is no clear view of the upper part of the falls. You can only see the lower part. We scrambled around to try and find a better view, but could not see one (though the picture in my hiking book implies you can see the entire falls, but where they took it from I have no idea). If you go to the top of the falls, there is a good view of pretty Emerald Lake, but you can not see the falls. It is hidden in a narrow canyon. The trail continues on to Hamilton Lake, but it is a strenuous hike (7 miles RT or 11.2 km).
