If you take a day cruise out of Whittier in Prince William Sound, you will see dozens and dozens of waterfalls streaming off the many glaciers in the area. Some of these waterfalls are quite impressive, but it is impossible to document them all from a cruise boat. I just tried to document the major waterfalls.
Hidden Falls is one of these many waterfalls in Prince William Sound that you will see, and it is not what I would classify as being a major waterfall. But it is the waterfall that the cruise ships stop at, and everyone on board gets out on deck to have their picture taken in front of the falls. It is like a zoo, and really for what? It is only a 50 ft. high waterfall. It is certainly a nice waterfall, but I saw plenty more nicer and bigger waterfalls on the cruise and the boat did not stop at any of them. It was like the cruise line just picked one of the many waterfalls at random to stop at for people to get their picture taken at. I was not impressed. But if I had my own boat or kayak, I would just love to go by myself and stop at all the waterfalls at my own leisure. It would be much more pleasant.
