South Fork Eagle River Falls is a spectacular 60 ft. high waterfall on the South Fork Eagle River, in the community of Eagle River.
It is a very easy half-mile hike to get to the viewpoint. You could also hike to the falls along the longer Lower Eagle River trail. It is easier from the unmarked trailhead at Ken Logan Circle. Cross the South Fork Eagle River on the bridge, and follow the road a short distance to a junction. Turn right up this road and begin looking for an unmarked trail on the right leading back over to the river (at about 0.4 miles). This trail leads up to a view point of the falls. The cliffs here are very steep, but I believe it is possible to get over to the top of the falls and then down to the base. I did not have time to do this, however.
