ADVENTURES
I was treated to a couple more spectacular sunsets in October. If you remember awhile back, I had an astounding sunset at Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe. That one was so amazing, I thought I had used up all my great sunset quota for the rest of this year. But apparently, not so. I went to Wright's Lake and Sutro Baths in San Francisco in October, and saw a couple more amazing sunsets. Thank you God.
I also saw a few waterfalls in October, which is surprising for California (Fordyce Creek, Lee Vining Creek). Normally at this time of year, the waterfalls are pretty much all dry in California, so I was fortunate to be able to get out to see some good flowing falls. A good sign for this winter, perhaps?
Our big trip in October was in search of Fall Color in the Eastern Sierra at the
Lee Vining area. I met a friend and fellow photographer there, visiting from Australia,
and we spent the weekend shooting the area (my family also joined us for the weekend).
There really was not much happening in terms of Fall Colors.
It was not really a good year for color in California,
possibly due to the very hot September we had here.
Nonetheless, I felt I did come away with a number of good photographs of Lundy Canyon, Lee Vining Creek, and Bodie areas.
