A lot of people drive to Glacier Point, which has some awesome views of Yosemite Valley. It is worth your time, though, to take this short (but not so easy hike) to Illilouette Falls, which not a lot of people go to since there are so many other wonderful sights to see in Yosemite. It is easy going down, but then you have to come back up, and it could be really hot. When you get there, you will have a spectacular view across a canyon to the waterfall. You will need to get right at the edge of the cliff which may be too scary for some people.
