Bowron Lake Provincial Park is located in northern British Columbia, near Quesnel. It consists of a series of about 12 lakes arranged in a rectangular fashion. It takes about 5 days to canoe around the lakes, including a few portages between lakes (total distance is 115km). This is a most awesome experience. In addition to the two waterfalls described here, you may notice other cascades falling into Isaac Lake and Lanezi Lake (in the spring time). We recommend, however, going late in the year (September) to avoid all the mosquitoes. You will need to reserve your time well in advance. You can rent canoes and kayaks at the park.
