In the spring, you will find quite a few streams flowing down the mountain sides as you drive in the West Kootenays, and in particular on Hwy 31A from Kaslo to Nakusp. Most of these are small cascades, and not too exciting as far as waterfalls go. But Lyle Creek Falls was one cascade which we thought was worth stopping to take a look at. It is about 30 ft. in height, located right beside the road. Not a huge cascade, but a nice one, and there is quite a bit of water flowing in Lyle Creek in the spring. There could be an upper section not visible from the road.
