When waterfall hunting, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Sometimes you find a real gem. Rock Creek Falls is a gem indeed. I can not believe I had lived in this area so long, and had not ever been down to this waterfall. It is truly one of the best waterfalls in the greater Sacramento area, perhaps the best. It is only 17 ft. high, but is 100 ft. wide. When it is flowing well, Rock Creek just thunders over a ledge creating a monstrous waterfall. It is absolutely amazing and a must see for any waterfall enthusiast in the rainy season.
